Mileage for military vehicles is not official since the military could change dashes and odometers without restrictions. Typical mileage estimated 20,000 to 40,000 miles. No odometer shows more than this.

The advantages for off-road title for most areas is very cheap registration. Same cost to register and same restrictions as a side-by-side. Do all the county driving you want for less than $10 per year registration in some areas. Typically not interstate legal. Same as side-by-side.

Compare this 1 ton diesel truck to a side-by-side and ask why you would buy a side-by-side.

4′ wide by 6′ long. Pulls out 4′ on roller bearings with a simple lift of the handle. Can be stopped at each 1′ of extension. Holes every 6″ around the rim for securing the load.

Guessing the government bought these to make loading ammo boxes in and out of the HMMWV and the HMMWV trailers easier. Just a guess. If you have a picture of these installed in a military vehicle, we would like to see it.
Units are not used but are not new either. Functionally perfect but weathered. (Need paint)

 Two remaining. Neither are complete with attachments. Both have main boxes and walking grids. Pictures below that are installed on trucks are for reference only. These are not installed. There are many styles of these boxes. These were made by AAR Cadillac Mfg. 

These modules were used for first contact with battlefield damaged equipment (Tanks).  They were 1st line repair trucks / tool trucks.

Main box access from rear with swinging doors. Two side boxes flip up. Retractable roof in rear box to allow setting in a welder or such from crane. Nose of box accessed from driver’s side hatch.

Top platform was used for field maintenance at higher levels to replace a ladder. Looks like a very unique NASCAR infield platform.

Boxes would be ideal for hunters using HMMWV.
